Introduction of Wildass stallion
(Equus africanus somalicus)

After the unexpected, accidental death of our stallion “Somalo” on New Years Eve last year, the remaining Somali Wildass stallion “Edmond” has been introduced to the 5 mares in May. After several days of conflicts resulting in chasings and aggressions, the situation relaxed and Edmond has been finally accepted as a group mate. Meanwhile he was observed mating with 3 mares already.
