 Beira Antelope (Dorcatragus megalotis) at AWWP already in the 3. Generation

The birth of the young male “Horas” on 11.06.2005 rang in the already third generation of Beiras born at AWWP.

In 2000 the successful breeding of the endangered antelope with the huge ears started with 8 founder animals, caught in Somalia 1999. The second generation was reached with the birth of “Samiramis” on the 20.05.03.

In total 54 Beiras were born between 2000 and 2005. Our total stock of live animals is currently 44.
