Applicants for veterinary internships must fulfill the following qualifications:

• Good English knowledge including scientific English
• Independent and not afraid to take own initiatives
• Patient and sensitive to animal needs
• Prepared to work with people of different cultures, nationalities and religions and show due respect for the local customs
• Veterinary interns should at least be in the final year of veterinary studies in their home country
• Postgraduate students will have to do a research project during their time at AWWP but this will also be encouraged for undergraduate students

Working conditions:

• Duration of the internship is 8 weeks
• Flexible working hours 6 days per week with a lot of sun and oriental flair
• Accommodation is provided free of charge at AWWP, a detailed internship manual will be provided upon acceptance
• The applicants will need to provide their own flight tickets but the visa will be refunded and extended free of charge.
• After the initiation period, there will be ample possibilities to perform veterinary actions alone and under supervision
• All interns are encouraged to work on a research topic!
• Please note that currently we can only accept nationalities which can enter the country with a tourist visa on arrival

1. Clarify your interest in zoo / wild animals (prior internship, literature study, publications, hobby, personal animal handling experience, special knowledge in specific fields)?
2. Have you ever done any public presentation/s or publication/s?
3. Do you have experience in scientific research?
4. Do you have experience in using computers and computer programs? If yes, which programs and software are you familiar with?
5. Are you able and confident to work on your own with minimum supervision, if necessary?
6. What do you expect of an internship at AWWP?
7. What are your targets or goals in your professional life?
